BT Business unveils a managed security service built on Microsoft Sentinel to counter AI‑enhanced cyber threats.

BT Business announced a new managed security offering, Security Operations Centre-as-a-Service (SOCaaS), built on the Microsoft Sentinel platform. The service targets enterprises and public‑sector organisations seeking stronger protection against AI‑enhanced cyberattacks.

The SOCaaS combines Microsoft’s security technology with BT’s cyber expertise, threat intelligence, network operations and broader security capabilities. BT said the solution is designed to simplify security operations, control costs and improve an organisation’s ability to detect and respond to threats while boosting overall resilience.

"AI is transforming the cyber threat landscape at unprecedented speed, and our customers need protection that stays one step ahead," said Jon James, chief executive of BT Business. "By extending our partnership with Microsoft, we’re combining cutting‑edge security technology with BT’s cyber expertise and threat intelligence to deliver stronger, more proactive protection."

The launch builds on an extended partnership between BT and Microsoft that already covers artificial intelligence, security and cloud services. BT positioned the SOCaaS as a proactive defence as attack timelines accelerate in the AI era.

The announcement follows a series of enterprise‑focused offerings from BT, including a May rollout of industrial‑grade security products for small and medium‑sized businesses that leverage technology from cybersecurity specialist CrowdStrike.

No further details on pricing or rollout schedules were disclosed. BT indicated that enquiries from interested organisations are being accepted as the service becomes available.
