On April 16, 2026, the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) launched the inaugural GIMPA Tech Fair & Industry Showcase 2026 at its campus. The event, themed “Innovating for Impact: Technology Solutions for Ghana’s Future,” attracted roughly 300 participants representing government agencies, industry firms, academic institutions and the student body.
Speaking on behalf of the rector, Deputy Rector Professor Ebenezer Adaku emphasized the need to deepen collaboration between academia and industry to drive innovation and prepare graduates for real‑world challenges.

Dr. Mark‑Oliver Kevor, who outlined the government’s plans to expand digital infrastructure, including the development of sovereign cloud solutions and policies aimed at empowering young technology professionals.
Dr. Alfred Dawson Quansah of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation highlighted the growing availability of data for predictive analytics and called for structured pathways to move innovations from laboratory to market, stressing a “triple‑helix” model where academia, industry and government each play a distinct role.
Mr. David Quagraine, Chief Information Officer of Access Bank Ghana, advised innovators to prioritize scalability, reliability and alignment with business needs to facilitate adoption within large organisations.
Senior Lecturer Dr. Joseph Budu underscored the importance of matching technology systems to user requirements and institutional realities to ensure sustainable impact.
