Gospel musician Piesie Esther said she admires dancehall star Shatta Wale’s ability to draw massive, loyal crowds and has asked God for comparable “grace and multitudes” to aid her own career.
Esther, who recently promoted her “Flora Made By Grace” concert by visiting radio and television stations, creating social‑media buzz, funding public‑relations work and using comedy to attract attention, noted that Shatta Wale’s fanbase often demands concert dates before any official announcement.
“I saw Shatta’s announcement for his concert and just in coming days I realized the program has come off and the crowd. Multitudes will flock his event and rally behind him. His fans have never disappointed him,” Esther said.
She added that, as a Christian, she sees no conflict in praying for such a blessing, believing it would make her work easier and elevate her career.
“So my prayer to God is that I need that kind of grace and multitudes. I am a Christian, and there is nothing wrong with praying about something that beautiful. I pray and tap into Shatta’s grace,” she said.
Esther’s comments highlight the influence of Shatta Wale’s fan loyalty within Ghana’s music scene.
