In an interview with Ghanaian radio station Hitz FM, Nigerian singer‑songwriter Mr Eazi said he is ready to resume studio work with Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale on their long‑awaited joint album.
Mr Eazi reminded Shatta Wale of their previous collaboration and urged the artist to “link up and finish the album,” emphasizing that the project cannot be completed remotely.
“Shatta Wale, if you’re watching this right now, I just want to tell you that I’m not forgotten. We’re supposed to produce the album, so we need to link up. Let’s link up and finish the album,” he said.
Need for extended in‑person sessions
According to Mr Eazi, producing the album requires both artists to be together for an extended period so he can “vibe off his energy.” He explained that their busiest schedules have limited them to at most four hours together in the past.
“Me and him are so, so busy that I don’t even know when we’ll be able to sit in the same place. The longest we’ve sat in the same place is probably maybe four hours, so we have to sit in the same place for like two weeks,” he said.
The singer said a two‑week joint studio stint would give the project the attention it needs, and he remains willing to work despite the logistical challenges.
Both artists have not confirmed a timeline for when the extended sessions might occur.
