Ghanaian afrobeats and reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy delivered a historic performance before a capacity crowd of 12,500 fans at the OVO Arena Wembley in London during his inaugural UK edition of the BHIM Festival.
The landmark concert brought together fans from across the African diaspora and the United Kingdom, featuring a high-energy set that blended highlife, reggae, and afrobeats with live instrumentation.
UK High Commissioner Commends Milestone Achievement
Following the London performance, British High Commissioner to Ghana Dr. Christian Rogg welcomed Stonebwoy for a courtesy meeting in Accra, commending the musician for projecting Ghanaian arts and cultural excellence onto premier international stages.
“Stonebwoy’s successful concert at Wembley is a fantastic showcase of Ghana’s vibrant creative industry. Beyond music, his dedication to youth education and social empowerment sets an inspiring example,” Dr. Rogg remarked.
The High Commissioner emphasized the growing cultural and economic ties between the UK and Ghana’s creative sectors, noting that major concerts by African artists in London strengthen cross-continental cultural diplomacy.
Empowering Youth Through the Livingstone Foundation
During the interaction, Stonebwoy highlighted his commitment to youth development and vocational education across Ghana through his philanthropic arm, the Livingstone Foundation.
“Our music carries our identity, but our greatest responsibility is using this platform to create opportunities, fund schooling, and mentor young people back home,” Stonebwoy said.
The artist confirmed plans to expand the BHIM concert series to additional international venues while maintaining annual flagship editions in Ghana.
