
According to reports, armed individuals assassinated the traditional ruler of the Ezuhu Nguru Nweke village in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday. His name was Eze James Nnamdi.
According to information acquired by the Gist House, assailants entered the monarch’s palace in a Sienna automobile at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, shot him to death, and then fled the scene after terrifying neighbors with random gunshots.
Nguru Nweke village in the Aboh Mbaise has been thrown into sadness as a result of the tragedy, according to Nnaemeka Anyanwu, a community leader, who informed our correspondent that those who were at the monarch’s palace were lucky to flee alive. He also added that those who were at the palace were fortunate to escape alive.
He went on to say that the leader of their community had been assaulted on Monday afternoon and that he had been transported to the hospital, but that he had ultimately passed away.
Another community source, who asked to remain anonymous, stated that before the monarch was shot, the gunmen reminded him that he was warned against being part of those conferring the Enyioma Mbaise Chieftaincy title on Governor Hope Uzodinma, despite the threat issued to them not to do so or face serious consequences by unknown gunmen. This occurred despite the fact that the gunmen warned them not to do so or they would face serious consequences.
He explained that the unidentified gunmen issued a warning and distributed letters across the village, but that they were reassured by the protection provided by the government.

Eze Mmirioma was a Traditional Ruler in Aboh Mbaise. He was shot multiple times at his residence by gunmen, and then he was taken to the hospital for treatment before he passed away. The report was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, who denounced in its whole the terrible murder of Eze Mmirioma.
Barde stated that he had assembled an elite team of investigators to look into this matter and see to it that those responsible for this heinous crime are apprehended and forced to face the repercussions of their actions to the fullest extent of the law.
He urged the people of Imola to go about their legitimate business while maintaining their vigilance and immediately reporting any suspicious person or illegal activity that they saw within their territory to the nearest Police State or by calling 08034773600 or 08098880197. He also encouraged them to go about their lawful business.
Recall that four people, including two chiefs and two villagers, including a monarch named Ignitus Asor, had previously been killed by gunmen who had entered the king’s palace in the Obudi Agwa community of the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. The gunmen were responsible for all of the deaths.
