A Federal university of Oye-Ekiti lecturer, department of computer science in Ekiti State has mad known to the world his desire to set a world record for longest number of hours for lecturing. The daring man made this decision to start on this tough task in order to get into the record which will last for 150 hours.

The current holder of the title is Arvind Mishra (India) at Graphic Era University, in Dehradun, India. Arvind lectured from 1 to 7 March 2014 with a total time of 139 hr 42 min 56 sec . He lectured on scientific computation.

The computer science lecturer at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti is organizing the ACA-A-THON event with the aim of surpassing Guinness World Record for the longest duration of lecturing, which is currently set at 150 hours.
