Hajiya Wanka, the PDP’s Deputy National Women Leader, has resigned

Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Deputy National Women Leader, has decided to resign from her position. Wanka, known for her passion and commitment to the party, has chosen to begin a new chapter in her political career by accepting the position of Bauchi State commissioner. Mrs. Wanka, a key personality in the political landscape, has tendered her resignation letter, which is a significant step. Copies of this letter were made available to Bauchi journalists, offering light on her choice to resign. The letter, addressed to Ambassador Iliya Damagun, the party’s Acting National Chairman, explains Wanka’s decision to leave. She cites the enticing offer to serve as commissioner presented to her by Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, as the key motivator for her resignation.

In a sincere letter, she expressed her deepest gratitude to the esteemed national leadership of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for providing her with the rare chance to serve as the party’s Deputy National Women Leader. She also thanked Governor Mohammed for recognizing her abilities and assigning her to his cabinet.

The PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has officially accepted and congratulated Hajiya Wanka on her recent appointment as a commissioner in the Bauchi State Executive Council.

Wanka’s appointment by Governor Mohammed, according to Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the main opposition party, is a testament to her selfless service, deep intellect, competence, administrative skills, and patriotic roles in the development of the PDP, Bauchi State, and the nation as a whole.
