Peter Obi Advised Otti Not To Abuse The Grace Of God, Pay Civil Servants

The presidential candidate of the labour party Peter Obi, of the just conducted general elections in the country has reproached Abia State Governor, Alex Otti on the welfare of the needy in the state.

The former Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, spoke as a Special Guest of Honour at an interdenominational thanksgiving Church service which was held at Trademore event centre, Okpara Square, in Umuahia, the Abia state capital, to mark the recent inauguration of Otti as the Governor of Abia state.

This  service was organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Abia State.

During the service, Peter Obi called on  to the new Abia governor to put the welfare of civil servants, pensioners and the poor.

According to him, “do not abuse the grace of God.

“Let everything you do be to the good of the poor people in Abia.

“Let the poor people be happy. Let the retirees and pensioners be happy.”

The Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi vowed to return to Abia after four years to campaign for Otti’s reelection as he has total trust in the capacity and competence of the new state governor in providing democratic dividends to every doorsteps of the people of Abia.

Governor Otti,  gave a speech at the ceremony and made it known that the time for Abia people had come, he expressed his thanks to God for his victory at the just concluded gubernatorial election.

During the ceremony he was flanked by his wife, Mrs Priscilla Otti and the State Deputy Governor, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, promised Obi and the Abia residents that his administration would lift the poor out of poverty and hardship.
