The Commissioner of Police in Anambra pays a visit to cops injured during a raid on a gunmen’s hideout

In a show of solidarity and support, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye, paid a visit to two valiant police operatives who were injured during a daring raid on the hideout of notorious gunmen. The commissioner’s visit aimed to boost the morale of the injured officers and commend their bravery in the face of danger.

In a swift and coordinated operation, a team of security operatives comprising soldiers, police officers, local vigilantes, and civil defense personnel launched an assault on a camp housing hoodlums. Acting on a credible tip-off, these brave individuals took decisive action on Monday to confront the perpetrators responsible for enforcing sit-at-home orders imposed by separatist elements.

In a recent development, Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, the public relations officer of the Defence Headquarters, Nigeria Army, has revealed that a total of four individuals involved in the criminal activities have been apprehended. However, this operation did not come without a cost, as five soldiers and two police operatives sustained injuries during the encounter. The injuries were inflicted upon them when the hoodlums launched a local bomb in their direction.

In a recent press release, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, highlighted the purpose of a visit made by the police leadership. The visit aimed to uplift the spirits of officers and motivate them to excel in their official responsibilities. The police leadership emphasized their commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the officers.

In a show of support and solidarity, CP, the esteemed organization, has made a generous cash donation to the officers. Additionally, heartfelt prayers were offered for their swift recovery. CP further reassured the officers that the police force remains steadfastly committed to their well-being, vowing to never abandon or forsake them in their time of need.

In a recent statement, Commissioner of Police Adeoye has provided reassurance to the residents of Anambra State. He emphasized that the police command is unwavering in its commitment to eradicating troublemakers and creating a secure environment for law-abiding citizens to freely engage in their lawful activities.
