The Federal Government promises that the Kano-Zaria-Kaduna-Abuja road will be completed on time

On Thursday, Minister of Works, David Umahi, guaranteed that the Federal Government would complete the Kano-Zaria-Kaduna-Abuja road in a timely manner.
The Minister made the statement while on an inspection tour of federal highways in Kaduna State with Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on behalf of Governor Uba Sani.
“We came to Kaduna on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for this important assignment,” Wike said. “Mr President has directed that I personally come and inspect this road, Kaduna-Abuja, and report directly to him.”
The Minister praised the Kaduna State government for its efforts to improve the security of the state’s inhabitants.
The Deputy Governor emphasized in a statement that adequate road infrastructure is the most essential public asset and catalyst for social harmony.
She urged the Federal Ministry of Works to expedite the completion of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria route due to its strategic importance, noting that the Eastern bye-pass, which began construction in 2002, has yet to be finished.
She believes that once the roads are finished, they will improve the security network and commercial activities in the area.
