Tiktoker sentenced to prison for accusing Eniola Badmus of prostitution

Okoye Blessing Nwakego, better known as Ego, a popular Tiktoker, has been sentenced to jail for saying that actress Eniola Badmus was putting girls in touch with top politicians in Nigeria.

In a significant development, a Federal High Court in Lagos has handed down a verdict, sentencing Ego to three years of imprisonment. The court also provided an alternative option for Ego to pay a fine of N150,000. This decision was made on Wednesday, marking a crucial moment in the legal proceedings.

After pleading guilty to a two-count cyberstalking charge, Tiktoker was convicted by Justice Nicholas Oweibo.

It was claimed that Ego and one Chimabia, who is still at large, conspired to perpetrate the crime in Lagos between December 2022 and July 2023. In a recent development, it has been reported that the offense committed is in direct violation of sections 24 (1) (b), (2) (a) (c), and 27 of the Cybercrimes Act, 2015.

This incident gained significant attention as a viral video circulated on various social media platforms. Ego accused Badmus of engaging in the act of connecting women to Nigerian politicians for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
