Abuja stolen N55m Benz: Police in Edo finally apprehend culprit, Meshack

Meshack Sinuphro, a police officer, was apprehended after he allegedly fled with a Benz GLB 250 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

According to the Gist House, the suspect, who disguised himself as a potential customer, fled with the Benz while test-driving the vehicle of a car dealer, Mohammed Manga, in Abuja last week.

The N55 million car, on the other hand, was seized in Delta State on Tuesday after police tracked it down and the culprit allegedly abandoned it in a bush.

Meshack Sinuphro, who had previously been declared wanted, was apprehended on Thursday in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.

DSP Bright Udafe, the Edo Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest in a tweet on his official handle on Thursday evening.

“The suspect, Meshack Sinuphro, who allegedly stole the Benz in Abuja while pretending to be a buyer, was arrested today in Benin City by the Command Decoy Squad,” he said.

“The suspect will be transferred to FCT command as soon as possible.” Report all offences to the police, and we will always come through.”
