Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was proclaimed the victor of the Kogi Central Senatorial election on February 25 by the Lokoja electoral petition tribunal.

In his judgement on Wednesday, tribunal Chairman Justice K.A. Orjiakoin stated that Uduaghan received 54,064 votes to defeat his nearest rival Sadiku-Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.

He urged Ohere to pay N500,000 to Akpoti-Uduaghan for the expense of the petition.

Ohere is a member of the All Progressives Congress or APC.
