According to a report that was broadcast on Monday by Arise Television, Nigerian security agents have successfully disrupted an oil theft syndicate operating in the Oporoza region of Delta state.

You may remember that in June, a former militant leader named Asari Dokubo made the allegation that the Nigerian Army and Navy are responsible for 99 percent of the oil thefts that occur in the Niger Delta region.

On the other hand, the Nigerian Army and Navy refuted Dokubo’s claim, stating that there has been ongoing theft of oil in the region.
