‘I’m bigger than The Headies,’ says Portable in new song about award show organizers

Controversial After being passed over for the 16th edition of the Headies Awards, Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has boasted that he is bigger than the award ceremony.

Portable, whose two nominations for the 15th Headies-Rookie of the Year and Best Street-hop Artiste were withdrawn last year when he made unguarded remarks about being linked with criminals and terrorists, had no nominations this year.

Portable had uploaded a preview of an unreleased song, dissing the award organizers, following the conclusion of the 16th Headies Awards ceremony, which was held in Atlanta, USA, on Sunday.

Portable said in the viral video that he is greater than the Headies, emphasizing that even Tupac Shakur, the late American hip-hop legend, did not win a Grammy.

“I’m bigger than The Headies, even 2pac no collect Grammys,” he sings.
