Following the sad collapse of the old and historically significant mosque in Kofar Fada, located in the state’s Zaria Local Government Area, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State branch, has been left in total astonishment. This tragic tragedy led to the loss of valuable lives and the injury of several more.

The sudden collapse of the old and historically significant Mosque in Kofar Fada, Zaria, was expressed with deep grief in a statement published by Rev Joseph John Hayab and Rev Ma’aji Caleb, Chairman, and Secretary, respectively. The terrible incident occurred on Friday, August 11, 2023, during ta’asar prayers. Several worshippers were killed while doing their mandatory prayers in a sad tragedy, and many others were injured.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) conveyed its sympathies to the Emir of Zazzau and the whole Muslim community in the state in a recent statement. In light of the unfortunate situation, the organization representing the Christian community sympathized with them.

The group passionately pleaded for divine intervention, pleading with God to grant the departed soul, Aljanah Firdausi, a seat in the highest heavens. They also pleaded for strength and perseverance for all those touched by this irreplaceable loss, as well as the prompt recovery of those injured in this awful occurrence.
