Man United make shocking approach to sign Chelsea star Ten Hag

Manchester United has approached Chelsea about loaning Marc Cucurella to their manager Erik Ten Hag during the summer transfer window.

This surprising move comes after Manchester United’s two left-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, were both injured.

Remember that Malacia is set to return next month, but there is no word on when Shaw will return, which is a significant setback for Ten Hag.

Diogo Dalot stepped in at left-back against Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s Premier League match at Old Trafford, but reinforcements, even on a short-term basis, are badly needed at that position.

Man United are reportedly interested in acquiring former Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand, who has been a free agent since leaving Leicester City in the summer.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has begun talks to bring Cucurella in as an emergency loan this summer.

The Red Devils have questioned Chelsea about the terms of signing the Spain star, but the move is still in its early stages, with ‘no bid or concrete conversations yet’.
