Ministerial list: Adamu explains why Tinubu is silent

Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has provided an explanation as to why it is taking President Bola Tinubu so much longer to announce his new ministers.

During his speech on Monday in Abuja, which was part of a meeting with APC chairmen from around the country, Adamu mentioned that Tinubu conducted an extensive amount of consultations before deciding on individuals to choose.

“The president of the United States has just begun. In addition, he is doing his in-depth consultations before presenting his candidates for ministerial positions.

“The first thing that will be done is to nominate the ministers. After having been presented by the President, they will be subjected to the vetting processes that are necessary before being pronounced.

“And Mr. President will formally appoint his ministers and swear them in.

“Only after doing that will he disclose each of them to the country in order for the country to know which minister is going to which ministry, and how many ministries we are going to have,” Adamau added.
