Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, won a Grammy Award for his singing, and he recently disclosed that his favorite birthday memory was when he was taken as a child to a kids’ park to witness the famed Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey perform.

A recent conversation he had with Ebro from Apple Music revealed this information.

The singer, who was born in Port Harcourt, stated that his sixth studio album, “Love, Damini,” which was released around the time of his birthday last year, was a replica of the joyful birthday celebrations he enjoyed as a youngster.

He told her, “You got the ‘Love, Damini’ album, and you see what’s in the record: I’m delighted that it is my birthday. I’m going to lead you to that [state of happiness].

My most memorable birthday was the one when I was a kid and my parents took me to a children’s park so I could see Daddy Showkey perform for the first time. That was the best birthday I’ve ever had.” Therefore, I sort of wanted to reproduce that feeling [inside my record].
