Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku: The tribunal has set September 16 for a decision – Charly Boy alleges

Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy, claims that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has set September 16 for a decision on the petitions contesting President Bola Tinubu’s election.

While The Gist House cannot confirm the date, the Tribunal, according to the Constitution, has until September 16, 2023 (the maximum 180 days from the date of filing of Petitions) to render judgment on the petitions.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate in the February 25 election, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, have petitioned the Tribunal to remove Tinubu over a number of charges.

In a post on his official X handle, Charly Boy advised Obi fans, known as Obidients, to prepare for the verdict.

“OBIDIENTS, ARE U READY? The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has declared that the decision date for the cases involving Peter Obi and the Labour Party against Bola Tinubu, INEC, Shettima, and APC, as well as the PDP’s petition of Atiku against APC, INEC, and Tinubu, is slated for September 16, 2023.”
