Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a Nigerian artist, has set a new record by spending a year at the top of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs list with his song ‘Calm Down’ alongside Selena Gomez.

Chart Data, an American data collection company, announced this on Monday.

The song topped the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs list for 52 weeks.

It peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Canadian Top Songs list.

According to The Gist House, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ became the world’s first No.1 hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world’s first regional streaming chart).

When the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) inaugurated the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1.
