Simon Ekpa threatens to stop oil extraction in Biafra unless Nnamdi Kanu is released

Only the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, can put an end to the sit-at-home order in the southeast, according to Simon Ekpa, a Biafra agitator and separatist, who has notified the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that this is the only way the order will be lifted.

This information was made public on Wednesday by Ekpa, a self-proclaimed prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile who is residing in Finland and is a lawyer. He made the statement to DAILY POST.

You may remember that Ekpa called for a week of civil disobedience in the southeast in order to demand that Nnamdi Kanu be released from detention.

Since Kanu’s re-arrest in June 2021, residents in the southeast have been staying inside rather than going to work.
