Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has publicly appealed to veteran performer Slim Buster to cease their ongoing online exchanges, stating he has never disrespected the older artist and has no intention of fighting.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale wrote,
“Slim Buster, please, you know very well that I would never disrespect you. In fact, I am quite shocked at how you are allowing certain things happening on the internet to get to you,”
He added that any comments directed at him may have been prompted by third‑party messages.
He continued,
“I will never come at you with disrespect or hostility. Instead, I sincerely plead with you to stop treating me as though I started this whole situation. I have no reason to fight you, and I believe we should know better than to allow social media narratives to create unnecessary misunderstandings between us.”
Shatta Wale, known for the hit “After 40,” said his fans would not tolerate attacks and urged Slim Buster to “understand how the internet works” and avoid reacting to every comment. He concluded,
“With all due respect, please put an end to this and rather take some time to understand how the internet works and how best to handle it. The internet is not an easy place, and not every comment deserves a reaction.”
Earlier, Slim Buster had spoken about facing mockery and disrespect after joining social media, saying he studies the profiles of critics before responding.
Both artists have not indicated any legal action, and the exchange remains confined to social media platforms.
