Shina Abiola Peller, a former member of the House of Representatives, has stated that the emergence of President Tinubu as Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a confirmation of the vision of the founding fathers of Nigeria. Peller made this statement in response to the news that President Tinubu has been elected to the position of ECOWAS Chairman.
This announcement was made on Monday by Peller, who served as the representative for the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola federal district between 2019 and 2023.
You may recall that it was announced on Sunday that President Tinubu would serve as Chairman of the sub-regional organization.
Peller noted that the men who established Nigeria always desired a Nigeria that included all of Africa, rather than a Nigeria that was reserved exclusively for Nigerians.
In a statement that was made available to Gist House on Monday, he stated that Tinubu’s role as chairman of ECOWAS gives a ray of fresh hope for the continent of Africa.
Pellar added, “It is a testament to the vision of our founding fathers who always wanted a Nigeria for Africa, cementing our continued economic and political leadership in the African continent.” Pellar made this statement while maintaining that the year 2023 will be a turning point for Nigeria.
A ray of fresh optimism has been cast onto the African Continent thanks to President Bola Tinubu’s role as Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
“Like I have always said that 2023 will be a turning point for Nigeria, I’m very confident that President Tinubu’s administration will bring about remarkable changes not only in Nigeria but in Africa as a whole,” said Tinubu. “Like I have always said, 2023 will be a turning point for Africa.”
